Im Hostel Mondpalast Dresden erwartet dich eine vielfältige Auswahl von geräumigen Zimmern, die alle nach den verschiedenen Sternzeichen gestaltet wurden. Es gibt eine breite Auswahl vom Einzel- bis zum 10-Bettzimmer. Einige der privaten Zimmer haben eine eigene Dusche/WC. Die Betten sind schon bezogen. Und das Beste ist: Das Hostel hat eine eigene Bar! Nach dem Absacker brauchst du nur noch die Etage hoch ins Bett zu fallen.

Das Hostel liegt mitten in Dresdens lebendigem Szeneviertel (der „Neustadt“), alle Kneipen und einige Clubs befinden sich in der näheren Umgebung. Nach dem ausgehen abends ist es niemals weit bis ins gemütliche Bett bei uns. Bis zum wunderschönen Elbufer braucht Ihr nur wenige Minuten und die beeindruckende, historische Altstadt sowie nahezu alle Sehenswürdigkeiten erreicht Ihr in 20 – 30 Minuten zu Fuß oder in 10 – 15 Minuten mit der Straßenbahn. Zudem könnt Ihr die großartige Umgebung Dresdens erkunden: Meissen, die Schlösser Moritzburg und Pillnitz sowie die „Sächsische Schweiz“, ein kleines, sehr schönes Gebirge und ein wahres Paradies für Kletterer und Wanderer!

Very nice place and in a good location in Neu Stadt (plenty of shops and cafes around the area, but it is a bit of a walk to the old town, roughly 30 minutes or 15 min if you catch public transport).Staff was very friendly and helpful and they speak multiple languages.The rooms are not the best, but they're good for the price... Although I found a few bugs here and there.The kitchen is small and always full of guests, but it's well equipped. Overall it's a great place to stay for a few days!

Ich würde diesem Hostel sogar 6 Sterne geben wenn es möglich wäre.Die Lage ist wunderbar, die Altstadt ist nur wenige Minuten mit der Straßenbahn entfernt und die Neustadt hat Vieles zu bieten in Richtung Kultur und Bars.Das Hostel an sich ist perfekt. Die Kulisse ist super und ich habe schnell Anschluss mit anderen Reisenden gefunden als First-time Solo-Traveller. Ein großes Shoutout geht raus an Dan, der mich eingecheckt hat und Abends die Bar bedient hat.Geplant war nur eine Nacht hier zu bleiben, habe den Aufenthalt jedoch um eine Nacht verlängert weil die Location so gut war.Immer wieder gerne.

Wir wurden leider einfach aus dem System gelöscht und konnten unsere gebuchte Übernachtung nicht wahrnehmen. Der Mitarbeiter war sehr nett, aber wir standen ohne Unterkunft auf der Straße. Schade

I only stayed a night but loved the hostel!I was in Sagittarius room so that was pretty cool. Loved the comfort of my bed. The showers were nice. Did I say I loved the wall murals ? Too much fun.The staff was super nice and helpful. The location was perfect. Street parking required but it was like 12euro. I would so come back. I was able to walk to old city from here, but even the general area was great for bars, restaurants, and shopping .

Hello, thank you for your stay with us and for your feedback.We're sorry you weren't able to sleep before 3 a.m. The hostel is located right in the heart of Dresden's trendy district, with lots of bars and young people in the streets, and it is indeed lively in the evenings. Normally, it quiets down considerably after midnight, and it doesn't last until 3 a.m. We'll check the bunk bed and mattress and replace them if necessary. As for mosquitoes, we don't usually have them in Dresden, so we're surprised to read about them. We clean all the rooms and bathrooms every day, but we'll keep a closer eye on the toilets to prevent that smell. We're glad you were happy with the bathroom and the staff.

Bonjour, merci pour ton séjour chez nous et pour ton avis.
Nous sommes désolés que tu n’aies pas pu dormir avant 3 h du matin. L’auberge se trouve en plein cœur du quartier branché de Dresde, avec beaucoup de bars et de jeunes dans les rues, et c’est effectivement animé le soir. Normalement, cela se calme nettement après minuit, et ça ne dure pas jusqu’à 3 h. Nous allons contrôler le lit superposé et le matelas et les remplacer si nécessaire. Pour les moustiques, il n’y en a normalement pas chez nous à Dresde, et nous sommes donc surpris d’en lire. Nous nettoyons toutes les chambres et salles de bain chaque jour, mais nous allons surveiller les toilettes de plus près pour éviter cette odeur. Nous sommes contents que la salle de bain et le personnel t’aient convenu.

Firstly the staff were very nice and welcoming, June especially.
Secondly, the rooms, linens and toilets were clean and the location was a plus also except for the late night noise outside but if the windows are closed you won't hear anything.
Lastly, the showers were a complete mess. I have never been in showers so gross and nasty before. They looked like they haven't been cleaned in a while because there's mold on the wall, floor and around the sinks so that was my only turn off.

We’re sorry about the showers. Of course we clean all bathrooms every day, but the dark spots you saw are not mold. Some water has got under the surface, which causes black stains that unfortunately look just like it. We know that doesn’t look nice, and we’re planning to renovate the bathroom soon so it looks proper again.

Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hostel, wenn man ein paar Taage in Dresden und Umgebung unterwegs sein möchte. Die Lage in einem alternativ anheimelnden Kiez mit vielen gastronomischen Angeboten sichert gutes Essen und Gelegenheiten für entspannende Abende und Nachtschwärmer.
Eine kleine Gebrauchsanleitung für den Mikrowellen-Ofen-Hybrid in der offenen Küche wäre hilfreich, da die Bedienung nicht ganz so intuitiv ist, wie ich bei verschiedenen Mitgästen gesehen habe. 😉

I was on a Dresden discovery tour from 10/01 - 10/04, the first time in Dresden, and stayed at the Mondpalast. I am very satisfied with the great service and the very good, attentive care during my stay.
The staff is very helpful, attentive, and always treated me very kindly; the rooms and sanitary facilities are clean, well-maintained, and everything is well organized. The breakfast was varied and absolutely fine for the low price. I think it's great that coffee and tea are provided free of charge for guests, as much as you want, around the clock. Travel guides and city maps are also gladly lent out, and the guest gets help wherever they need it. Every now and then, events are organized by the hostel where hostel guests can get to know each other better.
The hostel is located in the middle of bars and nightlife spots, and it can get quite loud on the streets at night, but it didn't bother me any further.
I think it's good that the hostel is quite easy to reach and you can also get to the old town quickly from the hostel to the most famous sights; you are in the middle of the center in about 15-20 minutes. I am happy to recommend the great service at the Mondpalast and I will definitely come back to Dresden again.

Ich befand mich vom 01.10. - 04.10. auf einer Dresden-Entdeckungstour, das erste Mal in Dresden und habe im Mondpalast übernachtet. Ich bin sehr zufrieden über den tollen Service und die sehr gute, zuvorkommende Betreuung während meines Aufenthalts. ||Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit, zugewandt und mir immer sehr freundlich begegnet, die Zimmer und Sanitäranlagen sind sauber, gepflegt und alles ist gut organisiert. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und für den günstigen Preis absolut in Ordnung. Toll finde ich, dass Kaffee und Tee kostenlos für die Gäste bereitgestellt werden, so viel man möchte, rund um die Uhr. Auch Reiseführer und Stadtpläne werden gerne verliehen und der Gast bekommt Hilfe, wo er nur braucht. Ab und zu werden Events vom Hostel aus organisiert, wo sich die Hostelgäste näher kennenlernen können. ||Das Hostel befindet sich inmitten von Bars und Nachtlokalitäten und da kann es nachts auf den Straßen schon mal ziemlich laut werden, es hat mich aber nicht weiter gestört. |Gut finde ich, dass das Hostel ziemlich gut erreichbar ist und man auch vom Hostel aus schnell in die Altstadt gelangen kann zu den bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten, in rund 15-20 Minuten ist man mitten im Zentrum. Ich empfehle den tollen Service vom Mondpalast gerne weiter und ich komme auch garantiert nochmal nach Dresden. ||Danke, dass ich mittels Eurer Unterstützung einen so tollen Aufenthalt in Dresden genießen durfte.
