Im Hostel Mondpalast Dresden erwartet dich eine vielfältige Auswahl von geräumigen Zimmern, die alle nach den verschiedenen Sternzeichen gestaltet wurden. Es gibt eine breite Auswahl vom Einzel- bis zum 10-Bettzimmer. Einige der privaten Zimmer haben eine eigene Dusche/WC. Die Betten sind schon bezogen. Und das Beste ist: Das Hostel hat eine eigene Bar! Nach dem Absacker brauchst du nur noch die Etage hoch ins Bett zu fallen.

Das Hostel liegt mitten in Dresdens lebendigem Szeneviertel (der „Neustadt“), alle Kneipen und einige Clubs befinden sich in der näheren Umgebung. Nach dem ausgehen abends ist es niemals weit bis ins gemütliche Bett bei uns. Bis zum wunderschönen Elbufer braucht Ihr nur wenige Minuten und die beeindruckende, historische Altstadt sowie nahezu alle Sehenswürdigkeiten erreicht Ihr in 20 – 30 Minuten zu Fuß oder in 10 – 15 Minuten mit der Straßenbahn. Zudem könnt Ihr die großartige Umgebung Dresdens erkunden: Meissen, die Schlösser Moritzburg und Pillnitz sowie die „Sächsische Schweiz“, ein kleines, sehr schönes Gebirge und ein wahres Paradies für Kletterer und Wanderer!

Although I only stayed for a night, the staff at mondpalast were honestly so kind and helpful it was lovely I felt very welcome and the atmosphere on the night I arrived was good too they had their quiz night on and people in the bar were getting involved. Despite the staff having to deal with a difficult guest they dealt with him politely, swiftly and professionally and were relaxed and caring towards the rest of the guests 10/10 to staff, I’d definitely come back but hopefully for longer next.

I know I was there in a down time so ambiance was obviously not great but still was amazing. You want clean? That’s the place, no questions asked. Places to visit are a little walk away or quick tram ride but the views are definitely worth it. Will definitely go back if make another trip to Germany and pass through Dresden.

Liked: The common space is very nice, breakfast full, staff very friendly. Everything was easy and good value for money.

Guests can adjust the in-room heating to their preferred temperature at any time, and while we conserve energy by not heating empty rooms and having heaters pause a few times a day, you can simply switch them back on whenever needed. We also store an extra blanket in each persons locker to make sure they can double up when necessary.

Das Personal des Hostels ist unglaublich – alle sind super freundlich. Die Zimmer und die Badezimmer sind sehr sauber, und ich finde, die Lage ist einfach unschlagbar. Unser Gebäude ist ein altes denkmalgeschütztes Gründerzeithaus, und leider können wir deshalb keinen Fahrstuhl anbieten. Die Zimmer befinden sich jedoch auf der ersten und zweiten Etage, sodass der Weg nicht allzu weit ist.

Cool bar downstairs - that is also Open to the public which negates some of the hostel atmosphere a bit. Breakfast is available for a fee (kinda expensive — €12), breads and cereal, pretty basic. Beds clean, already made. Big lockers. Clientele kinda strange - one of the dudes in my room invited his girlfriend in multiple times — hostels should have a no outsides policy..? Especially in the rooms. Showers okay, private enough. Great location, in the funky Neustadt. 20 min walk to old town.

Check in war sehr einfach und schnell, die Dieses Gebäude hat überhaupt keinen Schalldämmungseffekt, daher ist es manchmal etwas laut.Küche funktioniert gut aber in der Mikrowelle gab es noch 2 Pizzastücke, weiß nicht wie alt die sind, niemand hat darum gekümmert. Generell war es gut, die Leute dort sind freundlich und in dem Zimmer habe ich nur ruhige Leute kennengelernt.

Wir sind mittendrin im Dresdner Szeneviertel – mit Bars, Clubs und vielen jungen Leuten direkt vor der Tür. In die historische Altstadt kommst du entspannt zu Fuß in etwa 30 Minuten oder in vier Stationen mit der Straßenbahn.
Tut uns leid, wenn es mal etwas lauter war. Gerade wenn sich rücksichtslose Gäste im Zimmer aufhalten, kann das nervig sein. Gib uns gern jederzeit an der Rezeption Bescheid – wir sind rund um die Uhr da und helfen, für mehr Ruhe und Rücksicht zu sorgen.

Nice place to stay when you want to visit the city. It's close to the train station and bus station, which was a plus for me. I really liked how everything was decorated, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Overall, I plan to come back here again next time🐥

Liked: Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Trotz Silvester war es im Schlafraum angenehm ruhig. Man konnte problemlos auch nachts ins Hostel nach der Silvesterfeier und morgens wurde man mit einem schönen Frühstück begrüßt. Die Lage 5 Minuten von der Tram 11 entfernt war toll und ermöglichte eine unkomplizierte Anreise.

Unsere Lage mitten im Dresdner Szeneviertel macht’s leicht, nach Bars und Clubs einfach ins Bett zu fallen. Und die Anbindung ist praktisch: In etwa vier Haltestellen bist du in der Altstadt oder du spazierst gemütlich rund 30 Minuten hin.

Den Hinweis zu Vorhängen an den Betten haben wir gehört. Wir suchen schon etwas länger nach einer guten Lösung, der Sichtschutz sollte ja auch solide und hygienisch sein. Wir sind da dran.
